Pain Free For Good with Heather Peterson

Today’s guest is Heather Peterson, founder of Pain Free For Good. Heather is a mindbody healing coach, who is able to use the tools and wisdom she gained in her journey to help other people find their path to healing as well. We unpack so much today, from how our childhood needs show up in life and relationships as an adult, and how this manifests in our body. We talk about parenting with this awareness, helping unpack the underlying emotions of children to help support their healing organically - and how empowering this is as a mom to be able to address your child’s emotions, rather then run them to the doctor every time something seems wrong. We talk about how powerful it can be to just validate our emotions, and the powerful shifts that both her and her husband made through commitment to their healing, and the power of shifting their focus and conversation away from the pain. You can find Heather on IG @PainFreeForGood, FB: Pain Free For Good or read more about what she is up to on her website.

Deena Cuda - Fibromyalgia, Cancer, Opiate Addiction, Integrating Unresolved Emotion, Off All Medication.

Deena grew up in Pennsylvania USA with her parents and sister. She doesn’t have a lot of childhood memories but remembers always being told she was too sensitive, especially by her mother. Her dad was an alcoholic and her parents fought terribly for the first 4 years of her life. She was bullied a lot in school and found refuge in the art room. She went to college for two years but didn’t earn a degree. She worked in retail and has held jobs as a secretary, a volunteer at a domestic violence shelter and a dental assistant— She is now a sterile processing tech for a medical clinic. She was married and divorced twice. She has a son and two daughters, all grown. She now lives with her partner Larry in Ogden, UT.

Pain and fatigue prevented her from enjoying most things. She quit crafting and watched a lot of tv instead. She was in bed often and I couldn’t be the energetic and fun mom that she used to be. She always worked part-time as a stay at home mom, but after being fired from a call center for too many sick days, she applied for and was awarded social security disability benefits. Fibromyalgia took everything that she once was. It took her vibrancy, her energy, her social life, her mental health, and her physical abilities. However, she is doing much much better now.
